The morning sunrise shone through the blinds as Jacob Hartley lay in his bed. It was a Saturday morning, the boys first Saturday at the safe haven. He'd been here exactly a week, and managed to meet nobody. Of course, to meet people, you generally had to leave your room. Saturday was his favorite day of the week, so today might be different. The sun shone through the blinds, creeping up the covers that blanketed the small-framed boy, eventually resting on his eyes. Squinting his eyes tightly, Jacob rolled over, groaning at the sun, as if it had done something horrible. Jacob's eyes slowly opened as he laid on his opposite side, his face lying against the bed. His bright blue orbs scanned the room, another groan escaping his lips as he decided he should get up and face the day. The boy's hand found it's way to the boys, face, tracing a scar that arched around his eye, located on his forehead. It was part of a beat mark he'd gotten from his father. The boy nodded the feelings off and got up, his covers dropping to reveal a small, yet toned boy in only tight boy briefs. The black-haired boy grabbed some jeans and a shirt, walking into the bathroom with tight fit jeans and a teal shirt that had a pink heart on it, which said california is for lovers. He'd gotten it on a trip to California last summer. The boy brushed his hair and decided not to put any makeup on today. He walked out of the bathroom, putting on a pair of converses, grabbing his camera, and going.
A black olympus brand camera swung back and forth from its strap as Jacob walked the streets of Chicago. The city was definitely big, though he was used to it, he felt lost. He lived in New York before, so he was used to the city. The boy walked the streets, getting a good look at everything. It was somewhat different than New York, but he couldn't put his finger on it, exactly. Exhaling deeply, the runaway spotted a big park. Perfect place to shoot. Nodding in approval, the boy jogged into the park, smirking as he started to snap some shots of tree's, and kids playing. It was funny how everyday things could be so beautiful in a picture. It made you realized how everyone took everything for granted. Jacob put his camera up to face, the digital picture spinning as he turned around. He was about to get a picture of a skyscraper next to the park, when a boy came into view. Raising his eyebrow, Jacob let his camera rest against his chest, looking the boy over, wondering who the hell he was.
