You were an asshole yesterday. You're an asshole tonight. And I've got a feelin' you'll be an asshole the rest of your life. The garden was a peaceful place, sure, but there was something about it that Sebastian found nerve racking. Maybe it was just the fact that he was havign a sucky year and he was takiing it out on anything and everything that got in his way. Sebastian had found a new level of low a few days previously when he had told Malachi Howard that his girl friend had kissed Peter Walker. It was the perfect set up in more ways than one, but it also gave Sebastian yet another reason to hate Peter Walker. Sebastian had eyes all over the place. He knew the basics of what happened, but he didn't know details. Details were not important since the plan didn't go as intended originally. The original intention was for Malachi, stricken with terror that his girl friend kissed her best friend would run to Sebastian immediately instead of finding Peter Walker first.
From what Sebastian had hear...something that would have normally been a great thing to see, a tussle between Peter Walker and famous Malachi Howard, turned out to be nothing more than a few seconds of false accusations and a full blown pity party for Malachi. That was what Sebastian had been told by a couple of eye witnesses. Oh well. It was a game well played on his part. The pieces couldn't always go where he wanted them to. He had almost the perfect chance to ruin Peter Walker's life. Why do that? Sebastian was still a little sore from when the guy turned him down the first hundred million times. At first Sebastian had been dedicated to convincing Peter Walker to sleep with him, but eventually Sebastian decided it wasn't worth it. Much the same way if there were no progress with mystery boy, well, Seb would eventually lose interest.
Sebastian sat on a bench in the garden, a cigarette held in his left hand. His right arm was draped over the back of the bench and his legs stretched out and crossed at the ankles. Seb had started smoking again shortly after that first run-in with mystery guy. Something about that whole situation had Sebastian off balance. He figured it was just because he didn't have as much leverage as he would like to have over the boy. Drawing the cancer stick to his lips, Sebastian took a drag, releasing the smoke in the form of a sigh. Cancer... did Sebastian care if he got cancer from smoking? Obviously not. did Sebastian care about dying? Obviously not. It wouldn't be long, Sebastian decided, until either Malachi, his girl friend, or Peter Walker searched him out to give him a piece of their minds.
Really Sebastian hoped Peter would be the one to stand up to him. He wasn't sure what it was about that kid that really just got his blood boiling. Sebastian wouldn't mind Malachi coming either. Somehow he thought Malachi would be a lot easier to break than Peter Walker, which was a pretty sad thing considering Peter was already Bi and Howard was, well, determined to believe he was straight. There had been plenty of time for Sebastian to think about a new course of action, but there were so many options to deal with it... he wasn't sure of which one to take. He was pretty determined not to lose this time, though. Losing should never be an option for Sebastian Stone. Usually letting someone get away was not an option, aside from the two he had let get away before. Why should Malachi be an exception to the rule?

Malachi felt a little better. No, in fact he felt much better. The talk with Peter earlier that day had alleviated some of his stronger concerns that Sebastian had brought up about the kiss. If he could take Peter's word for it and he had seemed genuine, it hadn't gone further then a quick peck... a quick peck that had been over a year ago. However, even Malachi knew that wasn't why he had gotten upset. It was the fact it was Sebastian was the one who had to tell him and not Caitlin, his supposed girlfriend. So he hadn't had a proper true relationship in a while but he'd read enough to know that the whole purpose of a relationship was to tell each other stuff they wouldn't usually to anyone else, especially the two of them were really into one another. Still, Malachi felt better and after having a 2 hour sleep in his dorm he had gotten up, taken a shower and had gotten changed so he didn't look like such a mess that he had that morning in front of Peter and Cait. As if he wasn't embarrassed enough, right?
Although Malachi was actually feeling a bit better, it was aided by the can of beer swinging from his hand as he walked outside. Normally Malachi didn't drink in the afternoon but this time was different. He couldn't face Cait now, especially after making such a prat of himself and she would be angry with him at jumping to conclusions. Plus other things had been stirred up with it and he had caused a terrible feeling that Malachi wouldn't see Cait in a little while which had hurt him even more. He had told her he loved her before storming off and whilst he felt he needed to say it at the time, now he regretted it. Malachi had never been the best to pick a moment. Still, he wasn't really drunk... maybe a little, but he felt he needed to be, just for a little while.
The garden was nice as usual. Lately, Malachi had spent much of his time in this place. The warmness of the air gave him shivers and he took a quick swig of his alcohol before continuing down the path. He stopped still beside an occupied bench, frowning before turning his head to look at the person on it. Sebastian. Malachi raised an eyebrow at the body language of the boy and the way he was taking a drag of his cigarette. It looked like he didn't have a care in the world. "Life's easy for some, isn't it." Malachi said, simply.
Strangely enough, Malachi wasn't really mad at Sebastian. Call it naive, but as far as he saw it Sebastian had just told him what he saw. Yes, the guy would have known it the kiss was over a year ago but it hadn't clicked with Mal. He watched the smoke off the cigarette for a second. He had quit a while back, specifically when him and Cait were getting closer. Malachi had a feeling she didn't like it and despite his love of it, he had quit. It seemed rather meaningless now though.
Malachi took another quick swing of his beer and shook it, feeling it was empty and threw it into the bin beside the bench. "You knew the kiss was a year ago... why tell me now?" Malachi took a seat on the other side of the bench, scratching the back of his head out of habit before adjusting his hat a little. -----------

You were an asshole yesterday. You're an asshole tonight. And I've got a feelin' you'll be an asshole the rest of your life. Sebastian didn't even look up when he heard the familiar voice. He had to fight back the urge to make a snide comment. Obviously life wasn't great for anyone at the damn institution or none of them would be there. There wouldn't be a need for the fucking institution if anyone there had a great life. Sebastian figured even the staff hated their lives simply because they had to watch after miserable fuck-ups that couldn't keep their lives straight. Those were just a couple of things that Sebastian wanted to say, but didn't.
He continued to stare forward, ignoring the guy as best he could. Even though Sebastian would normally jump at the chance to get in there and be manipulative and as evil as he could, well, he didn't think that would be the best route to go...yet. Sebastian knew when he needed to make an impact and when he needed to just stay quiet. He had a feeling that Malachi hadn't said everything that he wanted or needed to say.
When Malachi brough up him knowing about the kiss for a year Sebastian smirked as he looked over to the boy. "Why tell you know? Because I honestly had no need for you. Actually, I still don't have a need for you." Sebastian shrugged, "I know what makes people tick. Call it a talent. I'm the kind of guy that gets pleasure out of causing other people pain." He chuckled and looked away. "You're the perfect target, you know. Played right into my hands you did. The opportunity was too perfect to pass up." Sebastian rested on hand over his abdomen, taking another drag on his cigarette. He released the smoke with a soft sigh, "To be completely honest with you, Malachi Howard, I don't even like you. You're too fucking nice. Someone guck up your relationship and you try and have a conversation with them. Grow some, will ya?"
Sebastian put his cigarette out on the arm rest of the bench, carelessly dropping the butt on the ground. "I had the chance all in one play to make you so fucking miserable you'd have no choice but to give me what I wanted, fuck up Peter Walker's life just because I hate that little bastard, and get a little self gratification from it." The smirk formed back into an emotionless line across his face. "How's that for an honest answer?" That was about as honest as Sebastian could get with someone.
He had been completely straight forward. But something lingered in the air... something that wasn't cigarette smoke. Seb wasn't stupid, he could tell Malachi had been drinking. That may or may not work for him. Sebastian would just have to play along and see. He didn't want to be so hasty about changing his game plan again so early in the game. That mistake had been made the first time. If Malachi was even at least buzzed enough from the alcohol, then that would make Sebastian's life much easier. He was surprised that he hadn't already lost.

Malachi leaned forward and rubbed his forehead once he had asked the question and had sorted his hat. It wasn't pleasant being a lightweight but it was unfortunately was what he had to deal with and the amount he had drunk already would be enough to get anyone feeling less then themselves. Malachi hadn't actually expected to hear a response from Sebastian, much less the one he was hearing. His mouth dropped open a little bit and he matched the look at him before he watched Sebastian look away with a laugh. Well that was a bit below the belt and although he had kinda guessed Sebastian had fun toying with people, he didn't expect the guy to admit it straight to him. Malachi knew he was far from intimidating but not many people that had confidence? or maybe arrogance, he couldn't tell.
Malachi's gaze dropped to the floor in front of him as Sebastian continued, his hands holding up his head near his temples. To be fair, Malachi felt he needed to ask someone to explain themselves, especially at this time. He had just made the mistake of not doing so with Caitlin and now he was currently sat alone in the park, unless you counted Sebastian, with a crying girlfriend and a confused peter somewhere else. He knew that Sebastian was confident, he had figured that from their first meeting in the gymnasium but it hadn't occurred to Malachi that the guy was nothing but manipulative. Malachi let out a quiet sigh, even as Sebastian continued.
Strangely enough, and in his current state, Malachi still wasn't angry at Sebastian. He was, unsurprisingly, angry at himself even more then he already was after the spat with Cait. His eyes finally lifted again to look sideways at Sebastian, his body still slumped forward unbalanced. "Shit..." Malachi drawled out, his voice laced with genuine amazement and surprise. He wasn't really used to people being so blunt and straight forward and whilst it was refreshing, the actual words threw his off balance a bit more. It was a bit too much then he could handle right now. "Humour a guy, would you." Malachi muttered sarcastically, using one hand to keep himself straight. This moment would not be perfect to suddenly fall and humiliate himself even more so.
"Whatever." Malachi spoke suddenly and waved his hand a little to indicate that he had just disregarded everything that Sebastian had said. "You do what you want." It wasn't on purpose but right at this moment, Malachi didn't care on anyone else. There was really only one person he was worried about and she was probably never going to talk to him again. He couldn't do anything about Sebastian now and he had talked to Peter so Malachi felt there was no better option but to get drunk. There was some logic somewhere along the way. His attention had already moved on and he adjusted his position to stand up from the bench easier and get away from the manipulative blonde but realised it probably was futile. "I shouldn't have sat down." Again, Malachi muttered to himself. Giving up on attempting to stand up without falling flat on his face, Malachi moved back again and slumped a little, his head resting on the back of the bench so that his face pointed at the sky, his eyes wincing shut at the sun.

You were an asshole yesterday. You're an asshole tonight. And I've got a feelin' you'll be an asshole the rest of your life. "whatever."
....Huh?
Sebastian couldn't believe what he was hearing. He didn't understand why the guy would just brush off what had just been said as if it were no big deal. Anyone else, drunk or not, probably would have tried to beat the shit out of Sebastian. The next statement came as even more of a surprise, but that was a statement that Sebastian could use to his advantage. He didn't htink Malachi knew how much control he had just given Sebastian. It was an endless amount of control that he could use against Malachi at any moment he chose to. All he would have to do would be to play those words against him. Sebastian was tempted. He knew that he should get up and leave. Howard was useless to him. Sebastian thought for a moment of the possibility of Malachi being another Peter Walker. Would sebastian end up hating him? Probably.
"No," Sebastian replied. "You really shouldn't have sat down." Malachi was playing with evil incarnate and Sebastian was sure the drunken boy just didn't realize it. A smirk trailed over his lips. "You should close your eyes." He added as if he were just being friendly. "The light will give you an even worse headache." Of course that was true. Sebastian knew from experience the kind of headache that light could cause even with just a buzz. He looked ahead, trying to appear as if he didn't have a plan up his sleeve. Sebastian always had an agenda, but at the moment the situation was just too perfect not to take advantage of. He had to wait for Malachi to decide to close his eyes. If Malachi decided to fight it, then Sebastian could just let it alone.
But if Malachi did close his eyes, then it was game on for Sebastian. Besides, Malachi had told him that he could do anything he wanted and though they were drunken words... that didn't mean that Sebastian KNEW he was drunk, even though he did. Malachi would have no evidence pointing towards Sebastian not knowing that. He could have just figured that Malachi was sick or something. As long as Sebastian didn't say anything directly pointing towards Malachi being drunk, then his plan would work perfectly and that would be just the ego boost that Sebastian would need to get himself back on his feet. Everything had been going the opposite of what he wanted and he didn't like it. Now it seemed things were looking up.
Sebastian's mind naturally drifted to the nameless boy. That would be the ultimate victory. Unfortunately it seemed that both of them were too damn stubborn to give in and just fuck eachother already. Oh well. Until that happened, and Sebastian was sure that it would eventually, he would settle for smaller, less attractive game. That would suit him perfectly. He wouldn't have to worry about a potentially flawed plan. Perfection wasn't needed when dealing with drunks. Sebastian would save his A-game for the boy he continually thought about... the only boy who had managed to best him at anything sexual.
OOC://ewww, sorry :[
