Slow motion let me see you again
It was a manic day, of that much she was sure.
Manic days meant she wouldn't sit still and she'd probably be up all night, if the insomnia didn't make that so anyway. That was okay though. She just didn't like being alone when she got like this. Especially since depression was bound to hit in a day or two. As she paced in her room, she debated her options.
Back and forth. Back and forth. She'd been doing this for about an hour. To amuse herself now, she was adding spins once in a while. What was she doing? She was nineteen! Leah Marie should not have been spinning and pacing in her room to get rid of her energy. She groaned and looked out the window, her leg bouncing all the while. She had to get out of her room.
Leah Marie could do anything. She could go for a walk. She could go visit one of her few friends. Then it hit her. Steven. He was cute and bound to entertain her. He had to be more interesting than pacing in her room, at least. grabbing a white sweater out of her closet, she slipped it over her head and let it cling to her small frame. Sticking her feet into her favorite flip flops, Leah Marie all but ran out of her room, barely remembering to grab her key and a scarf.
In the hallway, she felt slightly less claustrophobic. Granted, the walls were a bit closer together, but at least it wasn't the overly familiar feeling from her room. Listening to her shoes flip and flop as she walked, the girl smiled and ran a delicate hand along the wall. Oh yeah. She definitely needed to be out of her room.
Leaving the girls dorm, she ran the short distance to the boys dorm. It was a bit colder than she'd expected. In fact, there were a few snow flurries falling from the sky. She shrugged and smiled to herself. Not many people could pull off flip flops in snow, but her theory had always been if I can feel my toes, why cover the? She was, most definitely, not your average girl. But wasn't that why she was here?
Once she was in the building, Leah Marie's feet carried her down the hall. She hadn't been friends with Steven terribly long, but she knew the way to his room. It wasn't like the dorm set up was extremely confusing anyway. It was easy to find rooms. Especially when you'd been there before.
Coming up to his door, she hummed to herself and knocked. Leah really could only hope he was around. If he wasn't, well, she was kind of screwed. There wasn't anyone else she expected to be able to keep her attention right now. Yes, it was partially because she was attracted to him, but he was also a good friend.
"Steeeeveeeeeen. Please be in there." She pouted at the door, about to give up. She knocked again, a little quieter. At this point, she was bouncing on her toes. Oh yeah. She needed someone to occupy her time.

Last night had been one of those nights that Steven had barely been able to sleep. Hed finally passed out about five in the morning and then his body decided to wake his ass up at around seven thirty. He grumbled the entire time until hed gone down and gotten himself a large cup of coffee in which he poured half of it in a nother cup and topped both of the stytophoam cups with sugar and french vanilla creamer. After he drank those two in record time he ordered another, but drank that completely black. He made his way back to his room, finding his IBprofen and took four pills before plopping himself down on the chair nearest the window. He opened it and rolled a couple joints smoking them before moving over to his bed, leaving the window open to air the place out still.
For rarely ever sleeping he surprisingly was rarely in a bad mood. He could have a little attitude, he wasnt Mr. Brightside, but he almost never got really terrible like some people. He always did his morning ritual to get his body going since he knew that he wouldnt be going back to sleep. As he flipped through the channels on his tv and settled on some kind of Court TV, he vegged out, pulling his sketch book out and started to 'doodle'. At least thats what he called his drawings.
The only time Steven ever spent time in his bed was if he was watching T.V. or just chilling. He never slept in it unless he brought someone back which normally he went to their place. Even though it was rare that he would sleep on his bed, he always changed the sheets at least once a week to twice a week. He had an obsession with fabric softner smell and if his bed lost it, he would maybe spray with fabreeze once but once that smell was out of it, he washed his sheets and blankets. He was a little odd at times, but hey he knew what he liked.
Steve usually always lost track of time, his body only telling him when he needed to go to the bathroom and he would go and then come back and resume his position, munching on his chips to satisfy his 'munchies'. It wasnt until he got bored of drawing and nothing but soap operas was on that he finally moved, shutting off his TV he turned on his music and moved over to the small desk in the corner. he sat down and was about ready to pull out another joint when he heard something at the door. He stopped and listened, tilting his head he got up and made his way over to the door.
Turning the knob he opened the door to reveal Leah. He smirked slowly at her. Hey there Bright Eyes.. he said his smirk turning to a grin. whats up? he asked stepping back for her so she could walk in if she so choose, haze-green eyes moving over her appearance. She looked cute, as always.

Slow motion let me see you again
"AHA! I knew you'd be here!" She smiled at him as the door opened. His eyes were the first thing she noticed. Did she care? Of course not. What he did was his choice. Besides, He was fun high or not. She just needed to not be alone at this point. Because with her, there was no telling when manic would end and depression would start. As he stepped aside, she walked in and glanced at him over her shoulder. "Bright Eyes. That's a new one. I like it."
Crawling onto his bed, Leah kicked off her flip flops and sat cross legged in the dead center like she always did. She watched as he shut the door and decided to answer his question. "Oh. You know. Can't sit still. Freaking out." Even now her leg was bouncing as she sat there. She hadn't told Steven about her disorder...s. Well she'd mentioned insomnia. People seemed to accept that one. It was a bit more common than the other two. Drumming lightly on her leg, Leah Marie looked around his room. She liked his more than she liked her own. It was the same set up (they all were), but his was nicer to her. Looking back at him, she tilted her head.
"What about you? Anything interesting or just getting high all afternoon?" It was a downfall, the way she just sort of said things without thinking. With her leg still bouncing slightly, she lifted her hand and began biting lightly on one of her nails. What was she doing? Was it really this bad this time? She was about to get up and walk in circles around his room, but for some reason that struck her as odd and she restrained herself, remaining on his bed.
Smirking to herself, Leah looked over at Steven again. "Told you I couldn't sit still. I have, like, a ton of extra energy and I cannot get rid of it. I need to do something. Or just... I dunno. I figured you'd be a good person to go to. You always entertain me." She smiled at him and tried to ignore her energy. He was attractive, she couldn't ignore that. But, you know, she wasn't about to be the one to say anything. Although, him being high was definitely a bonus.
What was she thinking? She shook her head and stared down at his bed. "Steveeeeeeen. Seriously. I don't know what to do. Give me something to do! If I do nothing any longer, I might actually go insane. Trust me. You don't want that! I'm insane enough as it is." She laughed lightly and ran a hand through her hair.

Steven laughed as she came in and he gave a small shrug. Good. he said. Youve got great eyes... he smirked. They really light up when you laugh... and smile or.. whatever sappy ass line follows that. he smirked. When steven complimented people it was usually what he truthfully thought, not a line. Sometimes he was smooth about it, but for the most part it just came out however it came out and that was mostly because he never really tried being. Being smooth meant he was trying something and that he wasnt. Not that he wouldnt, but he didnt think that it took 'trying' when the other person might possibly want the same thing as he did. Might as well get down to business and screw the small talk.
Once he'd closed the door he turned to look at her as she climbed up onto his bed and sat there, her leg moving. Always something moving with her, but it didnt bother him. He liked her, she was crazy and fun and quirky. It was awsome. He usually liked people like that. Besides, like him, she was a bit of an insomniac as well and you could never have too many of those, who else would keep you occupied and keep you from going insane while everyone else was sleeping.
Steve laughed and shrugged. Well... not all afternoon but for the highlight of it... yes. he said. He wasnt taken aback by her comment, he was the same way, usually saying things rudely like that. Besides Steven was completely comfortable with the fact he did drugs and knew if she was really making a jab at him for it, hed know it. Besides she probably wouldnt be sitting there bugging about it if she did. Shed be complaining about it... at least thats what people did when they thought he was wasting his life away.
You're such a bright kid steven. You shouldnt be doing that to yourself. Itll make you stupid. You could be a doctor or something.
Steve rolled his eyes at that thought. The voice was his high school councilor. Shed tell him that everytime he was in there, which was a lot. They always sent him there as if it would help him stay in class, help him do his homework, or help him begin to actually care for his future. IT never helped. Steven did what he did becuase he wanted that. People told him hed regret his choices when he got older and hed just shrug and say that hed deal with it then. If he really did well that was his shittin' problem because he conciously made these decisions.
Really... you're amusing.. his expression was playful and teasing. Ill keep you. he then laughed. That laugh of his, contagious and absolutely adorable. He sounded like a little kid, though as an adult that was referred to as a pot laugh. Something his councilor also pointed out to him. Asking if he liked sounding like a little boy. He again would shrug and say it didnt bother him. He didnt think anything of it and people always told him it was adorable or whatever. Im flattered you would think of me in a time like this.. he teased his hand going to his chest as he gave her an 'aww' look.
You want something to do? steven smirked. All kinds of dirty things came to mind. Steven was probably one of the easiest people to get turned on. It really didnt take much of anything to get his mind on sex and even less time for his hormones to kick in. Well I guess if you really wanted. I could sacrifice my body to keep you from going insane.. he shrugged and then snickered a bit. Or... I could offer you a joint. Itd calm you down. Or.. we could do both... or neither. he wiggled his fingers a bit in a dismissing whatever kind of way.
Could go outside.. his eyes slid to the window as he came over to the foot of the bed, his hands on the matress as he leaned against it slightly. He looked back at her, his brow titled one end of his lips turned up in a half smirk as he waited for her input on those or any she might have.
