redefine me It was like any other night at the strip club. There was a theme, tonight being angels and devils, and of course the gals had their routine and they had the music blasting, the men and women dancing...It was all blending in as it did everyday, everything so monotonious and ritual. Audrey was dressed up as a little devil tonight. She wore a deep red bikini that clung to her slim form, some large matching heels, a black collar around her neck and the little devil horns on her head, her loose, wavy curls spilling onto her thin shoulders and her little devil's tail slightly hanging from her round bum. Overall, with her large chery blossom tatoo showing and her golden skin glistening, the gal looked like a heart throb found in practically every man's sexual fantasy.
Which was probably why he boss put her front and center tonight. The music pumped through the walls making everything vibrate as the mass of people danced not that far below them. All the angels were walking around the crowd, being the ones serving drinks and attending to people while the devils were dancing. Later, they would switch. But right now, the devils were being dropped from the ceiling onto the glittering and shiny platforms, circular islands through out the crowds.
The gals were being dropped inside a large cage and as it touched the platform, the crowd seemed to scream, mostly males as their female partners seemed to get a bit envious, as the gals started dancing with the thumping beat inside the catch, looking ready to spill out of it. There were only five of them and they were all wearing the same exact outfits.
Audrey could feel the spot light on her as the cage spilled open and all the gals seemed to get out minus her. She took her time instead, crawling out of the cage like a seductive panther as she reached the center pole on the main island-like piece of stage.
As the music went on and the gals danced, the lights dimmed from a bright white to a demonic scarlett. Audrey made it seem easy as she seemed to flip upside down and dance around the golden pole, spinning around it, pulling herself against it...the gals matched her, but it seemed like the seduction was not as prominent in their movements as it was with Audrey.
This went on until the one song conspiciously shifted into another one. Then the individual lights went on each of them as people stopped gaping and started dancing with each other. Now the gals were free styling and Audrey seemed to be the only one who could keep the attention of those at the bar dateless. Her body would twist and turn, bend and curve, shake and throb with every beat and backdrop.
It was just another night's work...But the night wasn't over. She dropped down into the crowd along with the rest of the gals as the angels went up and did what the angels had been doing: dancing with random men and women in hopes that one of them will take them home tonight so they could make a quick buck. Think of it as a tip. She already had a few single shoved into her g string while she had been dancing and she had taken them out and put them in the tip jar just like all the other gals did so that it could be split evenly later.
She walked right through the thick crowd and to the bar. She'd rather do this drunk than sober,"Alice In Wonderland," she told the bartender who nodded as she flashed him a sweet smile. Her french accent was thick as she waited patiently. She could feel the eyes of others lean in her direction but before she went off to try and hump someone for money, she was going to get as drunk as she possibly could...That way she wouldn't remember in the morning.

Don't bother angel, I know exactly what goes on
What was he doing? Kelevra closed his eyes as soon as he was inside the door. Seriously, though. What was he doing? How was this the answer? Yes. He was lonely. Yes. He was bored. Yes. He was straight. But did that really mean that a strip club was the answer? He hated himself for actually showing up here. It was one thing he wouldn't let himself forget. Was he really at a strip club? This was what he had resorted to for entertainment. What was he becoming.
Instead of going straight to the entertainment, he slipped into the bathroom. It was empty, luckily. Walking to the mirror, he leaned his head against it and took a few deep breaths. There wasn't anything wrong in being here. It's what these places were around for. Lonely people who liked looking at girls. Right? Kelevra sighed and washed his hands since the sink was there. Clearing his throat, he dried his hands and ducked around someone who had just stepped into the bathroom and disappeared into a stall. Kelevra shook his head at the middle aged man and stepped into the dim light of the strip club.
It humored him, the use of dim lighting. It hid so many imperfections. Half of these girls were probably hideous in normal lighting. It made it easier to hide them when they weren't working though. They never looked the same. The music was too loud for Kelevra to even figure out his own thoughts. He rubbed his temples and looked over at the stages where girls were dancing in a scarlet light.
While people were crowding around the girls, Kelevra kept his distance, but eyed one girl in particular. He sat down at at a table and watched her dance. She was flawless, but that could have been the lighting. Her every move seemed to pull men into her. She was dressed as a devil and she probably was. There was definitely more of a reason Kelevra stared, though. She looked familiar. Very familiar.
As she jumped off stage, his eyes followed her, but not in the creepy way that so many of the overweight middle aged men followed her. He signaled for someone to head over his way since he decided it was about time he had a drink. Before his hand even hit the table there was something in front of him. Kelevra smiled and hand the girl some money. As most of the men's attention went to the new batch of girls who were dancing, his strayed back to the familiar girl. She was over at the bar now, but there was no way she was old enough to drink.
He sighed to himself and looked into his drink before lifting it to his mouth. He was outside of the Saint John's walls, right? Why not make a night of it? He downed half of the drink before setting it back on the table. He glanced over his shoulder once again at the girl he'd just seen dancing. And right then, it all clicked. Every last piece fit in his head. He knew who she was.
She was from Saint John's too. A smile creeped onto his face as he continued to look at her. He probably looked as creepy as most of the other people, but he probably had the nicest of intentions. After all, he wasn't planning on either going into the bathroom to masturbate thinking about eighteen year olds or paying to rape one. Kelevra had morals and, sometimes, he stuck to them. He was merely here for some light hearted entertainment. It wasn't his fault he recognized one of the girls.

redefine me As the drink was set in front of her, Audrey seemed to easily down it before another one was set in front of her. The bartender already knew what she was doing, and he was never one to stop her. He knew she was seventeen. Everyone who worked there knew. But if they were going to make money off of her, they weren't going to say a damn thing.
She finished the second one as easily as she finished the first one and then sighed deeply. Not even a buzz. She really should stop drinking. It wasn't like she did it often. Just when she actually needed the extra money. In this case, Audrey seriously did. She needed to get her ass out of Saint John's and continue looking for her father. But she needed X amount of money to fly over to France, where she was pretty sure her father was. There was no other place considering he never seemed to like California to begin with-or the United States.
She brushed her dark brown locks out from her face as she bit her lower lips and shook her head to the bartender, who looked ready to bring some more,"Tell Charlie I'm taking the night off," she told told him as she scrunched up her nose a bit. Yeah, she needed the money. But she could get it without wearing some skimpy outfit. All she had to do was call up a previous client and she would have five hundred bucks shoved down her bra by dawn.
The bartender gave her a cautious and somewhat worried look but then she simply gave him a look and he understood her reasonings. She took the little devil horns off her head as some guy, who looked probably in his mid thirties and who actually was good looking, wrapped his muscular arm around her thin waist.
"How 'bout a lap dance, hun?" she could smell the alcohol on his breath as he spoke into her ear and she moved her face away, rolling her chocolate eyes and scrunching up her nose,"Off duty," she told him with that thick accent of her's as she attempted to pull away but he managed to get a tight grip on her thin wrist and pull her back, flashing two hundreds in his other hand.
A bribe. How lovely.
Her eyes seemed to suddenly give out a flash of desperation towards the crisp bills. She'd be two hundred dollars closer than before...
No. She couldn't deal with this right now. She needed air and it was way too stuffy in here,"I said I was off. Go find someone else," the last part came out in a slight grunt as she attempted to yank her wrist away but his grip seemed to tighten even more. The bartender was on the other side of the bar, attending to someone else. Why did she always pick the dark corner to order her drink? Sure she liked staying out of sight of the others but...
This just had to be karma from all those times she would take the guy's money while he was sleeping and run off right before he would wake up.
The man pulled her closer to his chest and she used her other arm to push herself away from him. Sex. Usually, she wouldn't object to a simple lap dance or climbing under the covers with a stranger as long as she got paid in the end. But this guy was a serious creep job. He gave off that Hitler vibe and she really did not want to end up as ne of those prostitutes who went missing or something with her face plastered on the evening news. Though she usually wasn't picky, she did know when someone just didn't seem right and walking away was the best option.
And as the music blared, she felt like the room was spinning around her. It just seemed to remind her that this wasn't the life she always wanted to lead. This was the life she only read about or saw in movies. She attempted pulling away, saying 'let go' every time but he didn't seem to budge. She looked just about ready to give in, to be honest. And even though the bartender who usually looked after her, glanced over at them, from the right angle it would look like she was simply flirting with him, while at the wrong angle, it would look exactly like it was suppose to look like: Audrey attempting to get away from Mister Creep Job....

Don't bother angel, I know exactly what goes on
He watched her down two drinks with no problem. It was crazy. She was drinking like a sailor and unaffected. Yeah. This was probably Aud from Saint Johns. He'd only talked to her once or twice online, but her picture looked a lot like this girl. He smirked as she talked to the bartender.
Rather quickly, some fat middle aged man walked up to her and started trying to get her to do something. He sighed and stared into his drink. You'd never guys he was at a strip club. There were half naked girls about twenty feet away and he didn't even notice. One would think he was gay the way he was sitting there like that. With a sigh, he turned around and glanced at the girl he knew. Things looked as though they weren't going correctly.
Watching her, Kelevra couldn't help but notice it looked as though she was struggling. Not working. He watched for a moment to be sure that she was actually in trouble or something along those lines. But when he pulled her close, and her arm came up, the struggle was more than apparent. Downing what was left of his drink, he stood up and turned around. Was he really going to go help this potential stranger? Of course he was. He wasn't a complete ass. There was no way he could watch something like that happen. Not right in front of him. Even if it was her job. She'd taken off some of her costume. Maybe she was off duty?
Stepping behind the girl he assumed was Aud, he slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her from the other man's grasp. Leaning forward, over her, he spoke loudly into the guy's ear over the music. "Excuse me, sir. I believe you're groping my girl. And she's off duty. You really want to start something with me right now and kicked out? Just go pay some other tramp to do whatever it is you can't get on your own. You got me?" He smiled at the man while a threatening glint lingered in his eye. The guy grumbled and wandered away slowly.
As the man glanced over his shoulder at them, he kissed her cheek briefly and laughed. The man seemed convinced enough and moved on to another girl. "Some guys huh? They can be complete creeps." He laughed a little and looked around. Then, realizing what a creep he probably seemed like to her, Kelevra cleared his throat and tried to salvage any respect she might still be holding for him without coming off as creepy as some of the other guys in here tonight.
As soon as he was gone, Kelevra let his arm slip away from her waist as he stepped next to her. "I hope you don't mind. You just looked... it didn't look like you wanted to be there. I mean, you were fighting him off. I wasn't creeping you or anything. Just... I noticed." He shrugged and leaned on the bar, waiting for the bartender. He might be able to get another drink before leaving. This place was proving to be rather boring. He wasn't even watching any of the girls.
"Don't I know you, by the way?" He looked her over once and smiled before looking back at the bartender who was helping someone on the other end. "Saint John's. Right?" His smiled snuck back onto his face as he glanced back at her. She was definitely not old enough to work here.

redefine me "Thanks, Audrey seemed to easily dismiss all of Kelevra's apologies or excuses or whatever he was rambling on about. She sighed deeply, thankful that someone had come in to stop whoever it was. Thankfully he was cute too...
But as she looked at him a little better she bit her lower lip. When he mentioned Saint John's, she seemed to put a hand over his mouth. Gently, not roughly, as if to tell him not to say that too loud. She even made the shh sound.
"Ah," she made a sort of pout as she scrunched up her nose,"Great..." she let her hand drop as she sucked in a deep breath and exhaled, giving a look to the bartender who seemed to come right back to Audrey, already having her stuff. She slipped the oversized white tee over her torso to cover up her skimpy outfit and then took off the devil's tail, handing it to the bartender as she slipped some extra tight low right skinny jeans on her long legs, then put on her heels again. Lastly was her worn out leather jacket. Now she looked semi decent...
"Look, " she ran her fingers through her auburn hair,"Noone's suppose to know I work here, kay?" it came out more tired than anything,"If people found out I had a job, I'd get kicked out of Saint John's. It's like some unwritten rule the people created or something," she sighed again, snapping at the bartender who handed her a bottle of her favorite drink. Alice in Wonderland.
She took the bottle and swiftly put it in her purse that was just barely big enough to fit it. She looked up at the guy,"But thanks, really..." she gave him a genuine smile,"I ..." her eyes wavered and she nodded slightly," I really needed that..."
She had to get away. There was no way he could know who she was. She didn't even use her realy name online, if that was where he recognized her from. She used an old highschool nickname. She ran her slender fingers through her hair as she slipped away from him and towards the exit. Little to her knowledge, the guy had been watching them and he was conspiciously following her as she grew closer to the exit. Weary smiles were given to anyone who waved to her. Everyone she knew was a lot older than her so they all knew her real name. Of course they did.
"Hey Audrey! Paycheck tomorrow!" one of the angel dancers on the platforms called out to her and she nodded to the skimpy-dressed angel with a fake halo before she slipped out the door and into the night air. Only two minutes later did the other guy follow out right after her.
Her heels clicked on the sidewalk as she headed towards Saint John's. She hadn't even made it up the block when the guy had gotten a hold of her again. This time she attempted to scream but he put his hand tightly over her hand. He held her up against the wall of the building. It was late, who would really see, right?
Audrey struggled hard and really wished she would have just stayed home and watched scarface...one of her favorite movies of all time...They were having a marathon on Scarface, Casablanca....James Bond... Why couldn't she have stayed in her little dorm by herself and watched it like a normal teenager instead of being a prostitute?
Because she needed the money-and she had to keep reminding herself that. But this guy wasn't looking for a paid fuck. No. He was looking for something else and she could see it in the feverish look he had in his eyes and the evil smirk. Audrey could feel her limbs lock up-unable to defend himself as his hand went up her shirt, clawing at her flat stomach...
Crap. This was it. She attempted screaming against but it was muffled as that same hand grabbed at her wrists and held them above her head, his head going down as he bite at her neck, sending rough kisses and making her wish she had seriously just stayed inside where she was apparently safer....

Don't bother angel, I know exactly what goes on
He smiled as she prevented him from saying the name of the lovely institution they were both staying at. "I understand. Shouldn't say it." He nodded and looked around. It wasn't as if there were tons of people around to hear his musings anyway.
Kelevra kept his smile as the bartender looked at him, but waved off a drink order. He didn't need one just yet. For now he could deal without it. Maybe later on if he stuck around. It wasn't as if he was extremely entertained here. Once glance at the girl told him she was changing. Being respectful he looked around the club (anywhere but at her). The guy from before was still lurking. He was still a threat somehow and Kelevra knew it. He just didn't know what the man planned.
As she spoke, he leaned closer and strained to hear her words. Of course her job was against Saint John's codes. He had a feeling they didn't have anything against jobs, but hers was probably frowned upon for the most part. "I can keep it quiet. Don't worry about it." When she mentioned getting kicked out, he frowned. "Wouldn't want that. Not at all, actually. Don't worry. Your secret is completely safe with me. I don't have anyone to tell anyway." He shrugged and crossed his arms in front of him atop the bar.
"Oh hey. No problem. What kind of a person would I be if I did nothing? I'd have that on my conscience. I couldn't handle that." He smiled back at her as she slipped away. Kelevra sighed and looked around for the guy who had been causing trouble for her from before. His eyes caught sight of the guy alright. Just as he slipped out the front door. Without hesitation, he pushed himself away from the bar and made his way to the exit as quickly as possible. The whole time he was thinking quickly on his feet. What was he going to do exactly? Well, he had one idea, but it might hurt his knuckles.
He'd had the nicest of intentions. He was going to reason with the man and just try to get him to back off... But that was before he saw what was going on. It didn't take long for Kelevra to spot the guy he was following and the girl from the club. He cursed himself once for being protective before springing into action, not wasting any more time. By the looks of it, one hand had disappeared under the girls shirt, and she was struggling.
Something snapped in Kelevra. He had no idea what it was, but he couldn't recall the events exactly. A minor blackout. He remembered walking up to them and forcing the man off of her, but the next clear thing in his mind involved the man doubled over, clutching his nose and moaning about his shoulder. Kelevra felt a slight pain in his left hand. He could only assume he'd punched the man at least once. "I told you, sir. Back. The fuck. Off."
The last of his rage disappeared with the glint in his eye as Kelevra turned to look at the girl. "Are you alright?" He could really care less about the other man, he just wanted to make sure she was alright. "Come on. Let's get you home." He wrapped a protective arm around her as he grumbled something. With a glance over his shoulder, he saw the man stumbling in the other direction. "We're going to the same place anyway. And you really shouldn't be walking alone. Sadly, he's not the only one like that out here."
With a smile, he looked down at her. "I'm Kelevra, by the way." His free hand slipped into his pocket as he dropped the protective arm from around her. "Now that I've saved you twice, think I could get a name of the girl whose secret I'm taking to the grave with me?" Oh yes. He could play charming.

redefine me The second the man was off her, Audrey had sort of dropped to the ground. She felt herself trembling as she suddenly saw the guy's fist come in contact with Mister Creep Job's nose, a loud crack hitting her ears. She bit her lower lip as she stood, her back still against the wall. When he put a protective arm over her thin shoulders, she had wrapped her own arms around herself and was clutching herself tightly to ease her trembling. Holy Crap. That was the only thing running through her mind.
And then Kelevra's voice seemed to snap her out of her own momentary shockwave,"Oh...uh...er...Aud....Audrey," she replied quietly, glancing down at his fist and grabbing his hand at his wrist gently, looking at it,"You might what to uhm....wash that up later....In case you have a cut or something..." her voice slowly became steady as she spoke a little more. He had a little bit of blood on it but she couldn't tell if it was his or if it was Mr. CreepJob's.
And as they walked, Audrey felt like she was walking net to an angel or something. It was like he had some large wings and was protecting her. She hadn't felt so safe yet insecure all at the same time...ever. Insecure because if he turned around for a second, someone might show up and grab her or something, yet safe everytime he remained next to her. Whoever this guy was...He was definetly someone she didn't want out of her life...
Despite the fact she had no knowledge about him and that she had only met him about an hour ago.
Audrey suddenly stopped and looked up at him. She hadn't realized she had started crying. Not hardcore crying, but a few tears had escaped her almond shaped eyes. She suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist and held him close, biting her lower lip and closing her eyes tightly. She could feel herself trembling, though it was slowly going away.
"Thank you so much...." her voice was quiet. She couldn't explain her gratitude. He just didn't know what it was like...Being touched by people like that all the time just to make some money to help find her father, to help her get some food... It made her feel disgusted in herself, made her feel like she was nothing but a tool.
She thought all men were the same. Creepy, touchy feely....It freaked her out how many men like that there were in the world. She had always wanted to simply be with someone who was like her father: kind, warm...yet prideful and strong...But perfection didn't exist. And if it did...it would only come by every once in a while.

Don't bother angel, I know exactly what goes on
He let her look at his hand and smiled to himself. Her hands were soft and she was surprisingly gentle. For some awful reason he expected her to be harsher and course. How could her hands be so soft when she did that for a living. Then again, what did he know about stripper poles? The answer was, of course, nothing. Kelevra knew nothing about female strippers or their poles. He didn't really want to either.
Although he wouldn't mind getting to know Audrey. He wouldn't mind that at all.
Smiling, he shrugged at his hand. "I should be alright. I'll be sure to clean it up when we get back though. Promise." The way she cared amused him. No one cared about him before. He wondered if she had heard the rumors that had been floating around Saint Johns. The ones he hadn't bothered to put an end to. If she had, maybe his reaction the guy wasn't so strange. Then again, shouldn't she have been concerned for her own safety if she'd heard? Not knowing what to think, he chose not to.
Kelevra glanced over his shoulder to make sure no one else was following Audrey. He could understand why someone might. She was gorgeous and her job certainly alluded to her enjoying the attention. He had a feeling that wasn't how it worked in her head. She couldn't have enjoyed guys groping her shamelessly.
But then she did something surprising. Something he wasn't expecting. She hugged him.
As she hugged him, Kelevra just stared down at her. He'd never actually been an affectionate person. Mostly because he'd never been shown the right kind of affection, but partially because he just didn't understand. One arm wrapped around her small frame. "You're um... you're welcome." He wiped a tear away from her eye and smiled down at her. "Don't cry. You're alright. I promise. No one's around." The words sounded strange to him. Since when did he care about people? And feelings?
He wrapped one arm around her and pulled her lightly along. "Come on. You probably shouldn't be standing around out here. Someone might come looking for you. Don't want that." He even added a fake smile as he walked next to her. "Curious. How long have you been at Saint Johns?" He was actually more interested in figuring out if she'd been there as long as him... or had she been there longer? Kelevra glanced down at her before looking ahead of them again.
