Ian Ackart is not the kind of guy that usually worries about whether the girls thinks he's hot or not. This could possibly be because he's definitely gay and is more into guys that girls, but mostly Ian is so laid back that he just doesn't give a rat's ass. Ian doesn't have to TRY to make a big impression because his personality is so dynamic he usually makes one anyway. He tries not to worry about much, but he hates being alone at times because that is when he really starts to worry about everything. Ian hates being too crowded. If it is bad enough he will retreat into his own little world and try to tone out the crowd. He would need a major distraction.

Not only that, but Ian is probably one of the nicest people that anyone will lever meet. He's always pretty sensitive to when people need someone to listen to them and he never complains about his own life because he seems to realize that there is always someone out there with a worse life than his. Ian is one of those people that can talk to anyone about anything and not be embarassed. He's way outgoing and he doesn't get embarassed easy... if at all. Ian hates awkward silences... mostly because when it's silent he does WAY too much thinking for his own good. Ian would much rather be with a small group of people than left to deal with the world alone.

Ian isn't always the outgoing, social butterfly. There are certain times that even Ian falls down in the dumps. Mostly it's when he thinks about his parents. That topic can really be used as a weapon against him. It would shut Ian up in a heartbeat. Ian tends to avoid those that he knows will use that against him. Other than that Ian is quite possibly the nicest guy around.

OVERALL HISTORY;;
Ian was born in New York. He started out as an upper east sider. His father, Howard Ackart, was a very successful painter and his mother, Elise Ackart, was a well known writer. They had never had much to worry about as far as finance went. Howard was always good at keeping their money invested in the right places and Elise was always good at giving some chick a new face every weekend. The life seemed to work for them and little Ian. Even as a child Ian had a dynamic personality. The hardest lesson for him to learn was the 'do not talk to strangers' lesson.

Everyone just loved being around Ian and his magnetic personality. He was just plain out fun to be around. Ian was always pretty popular in school for that reason. But one year that all changed. Ian's parents had needed to fly to Paris so that they could try and enroll Ian into a French art school. They left him with some family friends. Days later, when his parents were supposed to be heading back... they never came home. Finally it appeared on the news that a plan had crashed in the ocean... and there were no survivors.

For a while there Ian was so depressed that he just quit talking to people. Ian became a ward of the state and was sent into an orphanage. He waited and waited for someone to come and adopt him. Days passed by, then months, then years. By the time Ian was 17 only two families had actually looked into adopting him, but none had. 18 was the age that most kids were kicked out and forced to make it on their own. Ian knew that he didn't want to stay in New York for any reason. It wasn't easy, but Ian finally picked a city that he had always wanted to go to and stowed away on a plan to Chicago.

Upon arriving in Chicago Ian found out that life on his own wouldn't be so easy. He and his ferret friend Roscoe tried to live on their own at first, but it wasn't working out. That was when Ian heard about St. John's Institution. He looked into it and found that he would be much better of there than he ever would have been on his own.
